^6 (A)True instruction^[a] was in his mouth, and no wrong was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and he ^(B)turned many from iniquity.

^3 (A)And those who are wise ^(B)shall shine like the brightness of the sky above;^[a] and ^(C)those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

⁵ and ^(A)in their mouth no lie was found, for they are ^(B)blameless.

¹⁹ My brothers, ^(A)if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone ^(B)brings him back, ²⁰ let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering ^(C)will save his soul from death and ^(D)will cover a multitude of sins.

⁷ For an overseer,^{[a] (A)}as God's steward, must be above reproach. He must not ^(B)be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent ^(C)or greedy for gain, ⁸ but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, ^(D)and disciplined. ⁹ He must ^(E)hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in ^(F)sound^[b] doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.

¹⁵ Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,^[a] a worker ^(A)who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. ¹⁶ But ^(B)avoid ^(C)irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness,

^18 (A)to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from ^(B)the power of Satan to God, that they may receive ^(C)forgiveness of sins and ^(D)a place among those who are sanctified ^(E)by faith in me.’

¹⁶ And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, ¹⁷ and ^(A)he will go before him ^(B)in the spirit and power of Elijah, ^(C)to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and ^(D)the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, ^(E)to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.”
