³ “Because of you I will rebuke your descendants^[a]; I will smear on your faces the dung^(A) from your festival sacrifices, and you will be carried off with it.^(B)

⁹ “So I have caused you to be despised^(A) and humiliated^(B) before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality^(C) in matters of the law.”^(D)

¹⁴ But burn the bull’s flesh and its hide and its intestines^(A) outside the camp.^(B) It is a sin offering.^[a]

¹⁰ “‘Because of this, I am going to bring disaster^(A) on the house of Jeroboam. I will cut off from Jeroboam every last male in Israel—slave or free.^[a](B) I will burn up the house of Jeroboam as one burns dung, until it is all gone.^(C)

¹³ when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage^(A) of the world—right up to this moment.

³⁵ It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.^(A)

² They will be exposed to the sun and the moon and all the stars of the heavens, which they have loved and served^(A) and which they have followed and consulted and worshiped.^(B) They will not be gathered up or buried,^(C) but will be like dung lying on the ground.^(D)
