Chúa Giê-xu bị giải đến trước Phi-lát(A)
27 Sáng sớm hôm sau, tất cả các trưởng tế và các bô lão trong dân chúng họp lại quyết định giết Ngài. 2 Họ trói Ngài lại, giải qua cho Phi-lát là quan tổng đốc.
Giu-đa tự tử(B)
3 Giu-đa, người trao Ngài vào tay kẻ thù, thấy chúng quyết định giết Ngài thì vô cùng hối hận. Hắn liền lấy ba mươi đồng bạc đem trả lại cho các trưởng tế và bô lão, 4 và bảo họ, “Tôi đã phạm tội, vì trao cho các ông một người vô tội.”
Các nhà lãnh đạo trả lời, “Chuyện ấy có liên can gì đến chúng tôi đâu? Đó là chuyện của anh, kệ anh.”
5 Giu-đa liền ném tiền lại vào đền thờ, rồi đi ra ngoài treo cổ tự tử.
6 Các trưởng tế lượm lại các đồng bạc trong đền thờ và bảo nhau, “Luật chúng ta không cho phép giữ tiền nầy chung với tiền dâng hiến trong đền thờ, vì tiền nầy đã được trả cho cái chết của một mạng người.” 7 Nên họ quyết định dùng tiền ấy mua ruộng của Thợ Gốm để chôn cất những người ngoại quốc chết ở Giê-ru-sa-lem. 8 Do đó mà đến nay ruộng ấy vẫn được gọi là Ruộng Máu. 9 Như thế để hoàn thành lời tiên tri Giê-rê-mi nói rằng:
“Chúng lấy ba mươi đồng bạc. Đó là giá dân Ít-ra-en định cho Ngài, chúng đánh giá Ngài thấp như thế đó. 10 Chúng dùng tiền ấy để mua ruộng thợ gốm theo như lời Thượng Đế truyền cho ta.” [a]
Phi-lát gạn hỏi Chúa Giê-xu(C)
11 Chúa Giê-xu đứng trước mặt Phi-lát, quan tổng đốc. Phi-lát hỏi Ngài, “Anh có phải là vua dân Do-thái không?”
Chúa Giê-xu đáp, “Quan nói đúng.”
12 Trong khi các giới trưởng tế và các bô lão hung hăng tố cáo Ngài thì Chúa Giê-xu làm thinh.
13 Nên Phi-lát hỏi, “Anh không nghe thấy họ tố cáo anh đủ điều sao?”
14 Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu không trả lời tiếng nào khiến Phi-lát vô cùng ngạc nhiên.
Phi-lát tìm cách tha Chúa Giê-xu(D)
15 Mỗi năm vào dịp Lễ Vượt Qua, quan tổng đốc có lệ phóng thích một tù nhân tùy dân chọn. 16 Lúc đó có tên Ba-ra-ba [b] đang ngồi tù. Hắn ta nổi tiếng gian ác. 17 Khi dân chúng tụ tập lại tại dinh tổng đốc thì Phi-lát hỏi, “Các anh muốn tôi tha ai: Ba-ra-ba hay là Giê-xu gọi là Đấng Cứu Thế?” 18 Vì Phi-lát biết rõ sở dĩ chúng giải Chúa Giê-xu đến cho mình chỉ vì ganh ghét mà thôi.
19 Trong khi Phi-lát đang ngồi nơi ghế xử án thì vợ Phi-lát cho người ra nhắn: “Đừng đụng đến người vô tội ấy. Vì ông ta mà hôm nay em thấy ác mộng.”
20 Nhưng các giới trưởng tế và bô lão xúi giục dân chúng xin thả Ba-ra-ba và xử tử Chúa Giê-xu.
21 Phi-lát hỏi, “Trong tay tôi có Ba-ra-ba và ông Giê-xu. Các anh muốn tôi thả người nào?”
Dân chúng la lên, “Thả Ba-ra-ba.”
22 Phi-lát hỏi chúng, “Còn Giê-xu gọi là Đấng Cứu Thế thì tôi phải xử làm sao đây?”
Chúng đồng thanh đáp, “Đóng đinh hắn đi!”
23 Phi-lát hỏi lại, “Tại sao? Người nầy đã làm điều gì quấy?”
Nhưng chúng lại gào thét lớn hơn nữa, “Đóng đinh hắn đi!”
24 Khi Phi-lát thấy mình bất lực mà quần chúng sắp nổi loạn, liền lấy nước rửa tay [c] trước mặt họ và bảo, “Tôi hoàn toàn vô tội về cái chết của người nầy. Mấy anh gây ra cái chết ấy!”
25 Tất cả dân chúng đồng thanh đáp, “Chúng tôi và con cháu chúng tôi chịu trách nhiệm về cái chết của người nầy.”
26 Phi-lát liền cho phóng thích Ba-ra-ba. Nhưng ra lệnh đánh đòn Chúa Giê-xu rồi giao Ngài cho đám lính hầu mang đi đóng đinh trên thập tự giá.
Các lính của Phi-lát chế giễu Chúa Giê-xu(E)
27 Bọn lính hầu của quan tổng đốc đem Chúa Giê-xu vào trong dinh, rồi chúng tập họp cả tiểu đoàn lại quanh Ngài. 28 Chúng cởi áo Ngài ra và mặc cho Ngài một áo dài màu đỏ. 29 Chúng đan một cái mão bằng nhành gai đội trên đầu Ngài và cho Ngài cầm một cây gậy. Rồi chúng chế giễu Ngài bằng cách giả vờ bái lạy truớc mặt Ngài và nói, “Muôn tâu, vua dân Do-thái!” 30 Chúng nhổ trên Ngài rồi lấy gậy của Ngài đập đầu Ngài. 31 Sau khi đã chế giễu Ngài, chúng cởi áo dài ra, mặc áo lại cho Ngài rồi mang đi đóng đinh.
Chúa Giê-xu bị đóng đinh(F)
32 Trong khi bọn lính hầu đang đi ra khỏi thành với Chúa Giê-xu, thì chúng gặp một người tên Xi-môn, xứ Xy-ren, liền bắt ông ta vác thập tự thế cho Chúa Giê-xu. 33 Chúng đến một nơi gọi là Gô-gô-tha, nghĩa là Đồi Sọ. 34 Bọn lính cho Chúa Giê-xu uống rượu trộn với mật đắng [d]. Ngài nếm rượu nhưng không chịu uống. 35 Sau khi đóng đinh Ngài, bọn lính bắt thăm xem ai được lấy quần áo Ngài. 36 Chúng cứ đứng đó nhìn Ngài. 37 Chúng làm một tấm bảng treo trên đầu Ngài với bản án như sau: đây là giê-xu, vua dân do-thái. 38 Có hai tên cướp cũng bị đóng đinh cùng với Ngài, một tên bên phải, một tên bên trái. 39 Người qua kẻ lại sỉ nhục Ngài và lắc đầu. 40 Chúng nói, “Ê! Anh bảo anh có thể phá sập đền thờ rồi xây lại trong ba ngày. Hãy tự cứu mình đi! Nếu anh thật là con Thượng Đế thì hãy nhảy xuống khỏi cây thập tự đi!”
41 Các giới trưởng tế, các giáo sư luật và các bô lão cũng chế giễu Ngài. 42 Họ bảo, “Hắn cứu người khác mà cứu mình không được! Hắn bảo hắn là vua Ít-ra-en! Nếu hắn là vua thì hãy nhảy xuống khỏi cây thập tự đi thì chúng ta mới tin. 43 Hắn tin cậy Thượng Đế thì hãy để Thượng Đế đến cứu hắn, nếu Thượng Đế thật sự cần hắn. Chính hắn đã từng tuyên bố, ‘Ta là Con Thượng Đế.’” 44 Hai tên cướp bị đóng đinh hai bên Ngài cũng nhiếc móc Ngài.
Chúa Giê-xu chết(G)
45 Đến trưa cả xứ đều tối mịt, hiện tượng ấy kéo dài đến ba tiếng đồng hồ. 46 Vào khoảng ba giờ chiều, Chúa Giê-xu kêu lớn, “Ê-li, Ê-li, la-ma xa-bách-tha-ni?” Nghĩa là “Thượng Đế tôi ơi, Thượng Đế tôi ơi, sao Ngài từ bỏ tôi?” [e]
47 Có mấy người đứng đó nghe vậy bảo nhau, “Xem kìa, hắn đang kêu Ê-li.” [f]
48 Liền có người chạy đi lấy một miếng bông đá nhúng đầy giấm, cột vào một cái que đưa lên cho Ngài uống. 49 Nhưng mấy người khác cản, “Cứ để yên xem Ê-li có đến cứu nó không.”
50 Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu kêu lên một tiếng lớn nữa rồi tắt thở [g].
51 Ngay lúc ấy bức màn trong đền thờ bị xé toạc làm đôi từ trên xuống dưới. Đất rung chuyển mạnh và các tảng đá lớn bể vụn. 52 Mồ mả mở ra và nhiều con dân thánh của Thượng Đế đã qua đời từ lâu sống lại. 53 Họ ra khỏi mồ sau khi Chúa Giê-xu sống lại và đi vào thành thánh, xuất hiện cho nhiều người thấy.
54 Khi viên sĩ quan và toán lính canh giữ Chúa Giê-xu thấy động đất và những hiện tượng khác, họ hoảng hốt bảo nhau, “Ông nầy quả là Con Thượng Đế!”
55 Nhiều phụ nữ theo giúp đỡ Chúa Giê-xu từ Ga-li-lê đứng cách xa cây thập tự mà nhìn. 56 Trong số đó có Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len, Ma-ri mẹ của Gia-cơ và Giô-xép cùng với mẹ của Gia-cơ và Giăng [h].
Chúa Giê-xu được chôn cất(H)
57 Chiều tối hôm đó có một người giàu tên Giô-xép, gốc thành A-ri-ma-thê, là một môn đệ của Chúa Giê-xu tới Giê-ru-sa-lem. 58 Giô-xép đến gặp Phi-lát xin xác Chúa Giê-xu. Phi-lát ra lệnh cho mấy người lính hầu giao xác Ngài cho ông ta. 59 Giô-xép lấy xác và tẩm liệm trong vải gai sạch. 60 Ông đặt xác Ngài trong một ngôi mộ mới mà ông đã đục cho mình từ trong vách đá, rồi lăn một tảng đá lớn chận cửa mộ lại, xong đi về. 61 Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len và Ma-ri khác nữa ngồi gần mộ.
Mộ Chúa Giê-xu được canh phòng cẩn mật
62 Hôm sau tức sau Ngày Chuẩn Bị, các giới trưởng tế và người Pha-ri-xi đến gặp Phi-lát. 63 Họ bảo, “Thưa quan, chúng tôi nhớ lại khi còn sống tên gian dối nầy có nói, ‘Sau ba ngày ta sẽ sống lại từ kẻ chết.’ 64 Vì thế xin quan ra lệnh canh phòng mộ của hắn thật cẩn thận cho đến ngày thứ ba. Nếu không, các đồ đệ hắn đến đánh cắp xác hắn rồi rêu rao với dân chúng rằng hắn đã sống lại. Cái gian dối nầy sẽ còn tệ hơn cái gian dối trước nữa.”
65 Phi-lát bảo, “Cắt mấy người lính canh giữ cho kỹ đi.” 66 Họ liền đi niêm phong tảng đá chận cửa mộ để đề phòng trộm cắp và cắt lính canh giữ.

Jesus Handed Over to Pontius Pilate(A)
27 When morning came, (B)all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death. 2 And when they had bound Him, they led Him away and (C)delivered Him to [a]Pontius Pilate the governor.
Judas Hangs Himself(D)
3 (E)Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty (F)pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.”
And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!”
5 Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and (G)departed, and went and hanged himself.
6 But the chief priests took the silver pieces and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because they are the price of blood.” 7 And they consulted together and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. 8 Therefore that field has been called (H)the Field of Blood to this day.
9 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, (I)“And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced, 10 and (J)gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.”
Jesus Faces Pilate(K)
11 Now Jesus stood before the governor. (L)And the governor asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
Jesus said to him, (M)“It is as you say.” 12 And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, (N)He answered nothing.
13 Then Pilate said to Him, (O)“Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?” 14 But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.
Taking the Place of Barabbas(P)
15 (Q)Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to releasing to the multitude one prisoner whom they wished. 16 And at that time they had a notorious prisoner called [b]Barabbas. 17 Therefore, when they had gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” 18 For he knew that they had handed Him over because of (R)envy.
19 While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.”
20 (S)But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor answered and said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?”
They said, (T)“Barabbas!”
22 Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?”
They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!”
23 Then the governor said, (U)“Why, what evil has He done?”
But they cried out all the more, saying, “Let Him be crucified!”
24 When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a [c]tumult was rising, he (V)took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this [d]just Person. You see to it.”
25 And all the people answered and said, (W)“His blood be on us and on our children.”
26 Then he released Barabbas to them; and when (X)he had [e]scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.
The Soldiers Mock Jesus(Y)
27 (Z)Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the [f]Praetorium and gathered the whole [g]garrison around Him. 28 And they (AA)stripped Him and (AB)put a scarlet robe on Him. 29 (AC)When they had [h]twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 Then (AD)they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, (AE)and led Him away to be crucified.
The King on a Cross(AF)
32 (AG)Now as they came out, (AH)they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. 33 (AI)And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, 34 (AJ)they gave Him [i]sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.
35 (AK)Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, [j]that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:
(AL)“They divided My garments among them,
And for My clothing they cast lots.”
36 (AM)Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there. 37 And they (AN)put up over His head the accusation written against Him:
THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38 (AO)Then two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left.
39 And (AP)those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, (AQ)“You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! (AR)If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”
41 Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the [k]scribes and elders, said, 42 “He (AS)saved others; Himself He cannot save. [l]If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe [m]Him. 43 (AT)He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’ ”
44 (AU)Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing.
Jesus Dies on the Cross(AV)
45 (AW)Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour (AX)Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, (AY)“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
47 Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, “This Man is calling for Elijah!” 48 Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, (AZ)filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.
49 The rest said, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”
50 And Jesus (BA)cried out again with a loud voice, and (BB)yielded up His spirit.
51 Then, behold, (BC)the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
54 (BD)So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, (BE)“Truly this was the Son of God!”
55 And many women (BF)who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him, were there looking on from afar, 56 (BG)among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and [n]Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.
Jesus Buried in Joseph’s Tomb(BH)
57 Now (BI)when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. 58 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. 59 When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 and (BJ)laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed. 61 And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting [o]opposite the tomb.
Pilate Sets a Guard
62 On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate, 63 saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, (BK)‘After three days I will rise.’ 64 Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come [p]by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.”
65 Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.” 66 So they went and made the tomb secure, (BL)sealing the stone and setting the guard.

27 ¶ Y venida la mañana, entraron en consejo todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los ancianos del pueblo, contra Jesús, para entregarle a muerte.
2 Y le llevaron atado, y le entregaron a Poncio Pilato, presidente.
3 Entonces Judas, el que le había entregado, viendo que era condenado, devolvió arrepentido las treinta piezas de plata a los príncipes de los sacerdotes y a los ancianos,
4 diciendo: Yo he pecado entregando sangre inocente. Mas ellos dijeron: ¿Qué se nos da a nosotros? Tú lo verás.
5 Y arrojando las piezas de plata al Templo, salió y fue y se ahorcó.
6 Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, tomando las piezas de plata, dijeron: No es lícito echarlas en el arca de la limosna, porque es precio de sangre.
7 Mas habido consejo, compraron con ellas el campo del alfarero, por sepultura para los extranjeros.

19 Y estando él sentado en el tribunal, su mujer envió a él, diciendo: No tengas que ver con aquel justo; porque hoy he padecido muchas cosas en sueños por causa de él.
20 Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos, persuadieron al pueblo que pidiera a Barrabás, y a Jesús matara.
21 Y respondiendo el gobernador les dijo: ¿Cuál de los dos queréis que os suelte? Y ellos dijeron: a Barrabás.
22 Pilato les dijo: ¿Qué pues haré de Jesús que se dice el Cristo? Le dicen todos: Sea colgado en un madero.
23 Y el gobernador les dijo: Pues ¿qué mal ha hecho? Mas ellos gritaban más, diciendo: Sea colgado en un madero.
24 Y viendo Pilato que nada adelantaba, antes se hacía más alboroto, tomando agua se lavó las manos delante del pueblo, diciendo: Inocente soy yo de la sangre de este justo; allá vosotros.
25 Y respondiendo todo el pueblo, dijo: Su sangre sea sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestros hijos.
26 ¶ Entonces les soltó a Barrabás; y habiendo azotado a Jesús, le entregó para ser colgado en un madero.
27 Entonces los soldados del gobernador llevaron a Jesús al pretorio, y juntaron a él toda la cuadrilla;
28 y desnudándole, le echaron encima un manto de grana;
29 y pusieron sobre su cabeza una corona tejida de espinas, y una caña en su mano derecha; e hincando la rodilla delante de él, le burlaban, diciendo: ¡Hallas gozo, rey de los Judíos!
30 Y escupiendo en él, tomaban la caña, y le herían en su cabeza.
31 Y después que le hubieron escarnecido, le desnudaron el manto, y le vistieron de sus vestidos, y le llevaron para colgarle en el madero.
32 Y saliendo, hallaron a un cireneo, que se llamaba Simón; a éste obligaron para que llevara su madero.
33 ¶ Y como llegaron al lugar que se llamaba Gólgota, que es dicho: El lugar de la calavera,
34 le dieron a beber vinagre mezclado con hiel; y gustándolo, no quiso beberlo.
35 Y después que le hubieron colgado del madero, repartieron sus vestidos, echando suertes, para que se cumpliera lo que fue dicho por el profeta: Se repartieron mis vestidos, y sobre mi ropa echaron suertes.
36 Y sentados le guardaban allí.
37 Y pusieron sobre su cabeza su causa escrita: ESTE ES JESÚS EL REY DE LOS JUDÍOS.
38 Entonces colgaron en maderos con él dos ladrones, uno a la derecha, y otro a la izquierda.
39 Y los que pasaban, le decían injurias, meneando sus cabezas,
40 y diciendo: Tú, el que derribas el Templo, y en tres días lo reedificas, sálvate a ti mismo. Si eres Hijo de Dios, desciende del madero.
41 De esta manera también los príncipes de los sacerdotes, escarneciéndole con los escribas y los ancianos, decían:
42 A otros salvó, a sí mismo no se puede salvar; si es el Rey de Israel, descienda ahora del madero, y creeremos a él.
43 Confió en Dios; líbrele ahora si le quiere; porque ha dicho: Soy Hijo de Dios.
44 Lo mismo también le injuriaban los ladrones que estaban colgados en maderos con él.
45 Y desde la hora sexta hubo tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora novena.
46 Y cerca de la hora novena, Jesús exclamó con gran voz, diciendo: Elí, Elí, ¿lama sabactani? Esto es: Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?
47 Y algunos de los que estaban allí, oyéndolo, decían: A Elías llama éste.
48 Y luego, corriendo uno de ellos, tomó una esponja, y la empapó de vinagre, y poniéndola en una caña, le daba de beber.
49 Y los otros decían: Deja, veamos si viene Elías a librarle.
50 ¶ Mas Jesús, habiendo otra vez exclamado con gran voz, dio el Espíritu.
51 Y he aquí, el velo del Templo se rompió en dos, de alto a bajo; y la tierra tembló, y las piedras se hendieron;
52 y se abrieron los sepulcros, y muchos cuerpos de santos que habían dormido, se levantaron;
53 y salidos de los sepulcros, después de su resurrección, vinieron a la santa ciudad, y aparecieron a muchos.
54 Y el centurión, y los que estaban con él guardando a Jesús, visto el terremoto, y las cosas que habían sido hechas, temieron en gran manera, diciendo: Verdaderamente Hijo de Dios era éste.
55 Y estaban allí muchas mujeres mirando de lejos, las cuales habían seguido de Galilea a Jesús, sirviéndole,
56 entre las cuales estaban María Magdalena, y María de Jacobo, y la madre de José, y la madre de los hijos de Zebedeo.
57 ¶ Cuando llegó la tarde del día, vino un hombre rico de Arimatea, llamado José, el cual también había sido discípulo de Jesús.
58 Este llegó a Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús. Entonces Pilato mandó que se le diera el cuerpo.
59 Y tomando José el cuerpo, lo envolvió en una sábana limpia,
60 y lo puso en su sepulcro nuevo, que había labrado en la peña; y revuelta una grande piedra a la puerta del sepulcro, se fue.
61 Y estaban allí María Magdalena, y la otra María, sentadas delante del sepulcro.
62 Y el siguiente día, que es el segundo día de la preparación, se juntaron los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los fariseos a Pilato,
63 diciendo: Señor, nos acordamos que aquel engañador dijo, viviendo aún: Después del tercer día resucitaré.
64 Manda, pues, que se asegure el sepulcro hasta el día tercero; para que no vengan sus discípulos de noche, y lo hurten, y digan al pueblo: Resucitó de los muertos. Y será el postrer error peor que el primero.
65 Y Pilato les dijo: Tenéis la guardia: id, aseguradlo como sabéis.
66 Y yendo ellos, aseguraron el sepulcro con guardia, sellando la piedra.
