Chúa Phán Về Việc Thành Giê-ru-sa-lem Sẽ Bị Hủy Phá(A)
24 Khi Đức Giê-su vừa rời khỏi đền thờ, các môn đệ đến chỉ cho Ngài xem các công trình kiến trúc đền thờ. 2 Ngài bảo: “Các con có nhìn thấy tất cả các công trình đó không? Thật, Ta bảo các con, rồi đây sẽ không còn một khối đá nào chồng trên khối đá khác mà không bị đổ xuống.”
Hoạn Nạn(B)
3 Khi Đức Giê-su đang ngồi trên núi Ô-liu, các môn đệ đến gặp và hỏi riêng Ngài: “Xin Thầy nói cho chúng con biết khi nào những điều này sẽ xảy ra và có dấu hiệu gì báo trước ngày Thầy quang lâm và kỳ tận thế?”
4 Đức Giê-su đáp: “Hãy thận trọng đừng để ai dẫn dụ các con lạc lối. 5 Vì nhiều người sẽ mạo danh Thầy mà đến, tự xưng: ‘Ta là Chúa Cứu Thế’ và lừa gạt nhiều người. 6 Các con sẽ nghe về chiến tranh và tin đồn về chiến tranh. Hãy coi chừng, đừng bối rối, những việc ấy phải xảy đến nhưng chưa phải là tận thế đâu. 7 Dân này sẽ nổi dậy chống nghịch dân khác, nước nọ chống lại nước kia, có đói kém và động đất tại nhiều nơi. 8 Tất cả những điều này chỉ là khởi đầu cơn đau chuyển bụng.
9 Bấy giờ người ta sẽ hành hạ và sẽ giết các con và vì cớ danh Ta mà các con sẽ bị mọi dân ghét bỏ. 10 Lúc đó nhiều người sẽ sa ngã, phản bội và thù ghét nhau. 11 Nhiều tiên tri giả sẽ nổi lên và lừa gạt nhiều người. 12 Vì sự gian ác sẽ gia tăng nên tình yêu thương của nhiều người cũng phai nhạt dần. 13 Nhưng ai kiên trì chịu đựng cho đến cùng sẽ được cứu rỗi. 14 Phúc Âm về Nước Đức Chúa Trời sẽ được truyền giảng khắp thế giới để làm chứng cho muôn dân, bấy giờ tận thế sẽ đến.”

15 “Cho nên khi các con thấy sự gớm ghiếc hoang tàn trong Nơi Thánh mà lời tiên tri Đa-ni-ên đã nói đến[a]—ai đọc phải hiểu lấy— 16 lúc bấy giờ ai ở trong xứ Giu-đê hãy trốn lên núi; 17 ai ở trên sân thượng đừng xuống lấy đồ đạc ra khỏi nhà; 18 ai ở ngoài ruộng chớ trở về lấy áo choàng. 19 Trong những ngày ấy, khốn thay cho phụ nữ có thai hay có con còn bú. 20 Hãy cầu nguyện để các con khỏi phải chạy trốn vào mùa đông hay nhằm ngày Sa-bát. 21 Vì bấy giờ sẽ có hoạn nạn lớn đến nỗi từ khi tạo dựng trời đất đến nay chưa từng có như vậy, và sau này cũng sẽ không bao giờ có nữa. 22 Và nếu số những ngày ấy không giảm bớt thì không ai sống sót nổi, nhưng vì những người được chọn, các ngày ấy sẽ được giảm xuống. 23 Lúc đó nếu ai nói với các con: ‘Này, Chúa Cứu Thế đang ở đây’ hay ‘ở đó,’ các con đừng tin. 24 Vì các Chúa Cứu Thế giả và tiên tri giả sẽ xuất hiện làm nhiều dấu lạ, phép mầu lớn để lừa dối và nếu có thể được, họ lừa gạt ngay cả những người được chọn. 25 Này, Thầy đã báo trước cho các con.
26 Vậy nếu người ta bảo các con: ‘Kìa, Ngài đang ở ngoài đồng hoang,’ thì đừng đi ra đó; hoặc: ‘Này, Ngài đang ẩn trong phòng kín’ thì đừng tin. 27 Vì như tia chớp phát ra từ phương đông lòe sáng đến tận phương tây thể nào, thì sự quang lâm của Con Người cũng sẽ như thế. 28 Xác chết ở đâu, diều hâu bâu lại đó.”

29 “Ngay sau những ngày hoạn nạn đó,
Mặt trời trở nên tối tăm,
Mặt trăng không còn chiếu sáng,
Các ngôi sao từ trời sa xuống
Và quyền năng trên các từng trời rúng động.[b]
30 Bấy giờ điềm của Con Người sẽ xuất hiện trên bầu trời; tất cả các dân tộc trên đất sẽ than khóc khi thấy Con Người lấy đại quyền đại vinh ngự trên mây trời mà đến. 31 Ngài sẽ sai các thiên sứ thổi kèn vang dội, tập họp những người được chọn khắp bốn phương,[c] từ chân trời này đến chân trời kia.”

32 “Hãy học bài học[d] từ cây vả: Khi cành vừa đâm chồi nẩy lộc,[e] các con biết rằng mùa hạ đã gần đến. 33 Cũng vậy, khi thấy tất cả những điều ấy, các con biết rằng Con Người đang ở gần ngay trước cửa. 34 Thật, Ta bảo các con: Thế hệ này sẽ không qua đi cho đến khi tất cả những việc kia xảy đến. 35 Trời đất sẽ qua đi nhưng những lời Ta phán chẳng bao giờ qua đi.”
Không Ai Biết Ngày Và Giờ Chúa Trở Lại(F)
36 “Còn về ngày và giờ đó, không một ai biết cả, ngay các thiên sứ trên trời hay Đức Con cũng vậy; chỉ một mình Cha biết thôi. 37 Như thời Nô-ê thể nào thì sự quang lâm của Con Người cũng sẽ như vậy. 38 Vì như những ngày trước cơn nước lụt, người ta vẫn ăn uống, cưới gả như thường cho đến ngày Nô-ê vào tàu. 39 Người ta không biết gì hết cho tới khi nước lụt đến, cuốn đi tất cả. Sự quang lâm của Con Người cũng sẽ như thế. 40 Lúc đó, hai người đàn ông ở ngoài đồng, một người được đem đi, một người bị bỏ lại. 41 Hai người đàn bà đang xay cối, một người được đem đi, một người bị bỏ lại.
42 Vậy hãy tỉnh thức, vì các con không biết ngày nào Chúa mình sẽ đến. 43 Hãy biết rằng nếu chủ nhà đã biết canh nào kẻ trộm đến, họ sẽ thức canh và không để cho nhà mình bị trộm khoét vách. 44 Vì thế, các con phải sẵn sàng vì Con Người sẽ đến vào giờ các con không ngờ.
45 Ai là đầy tớ trung tín và khôn sáng được chủ giao phó cai quản cả nhà để cho gia nhân ăn uống chu đáo,[f] 46 phước cho đầy tớ đó khi chủ về thấy làm như vậy. 47 Thật, Ta bảo các con, chủ sẽ giao phó cho đầy tớ ấy cai quản toàn thể gia sản mình. 48 Nhưng nếu người đầy tớ đó gian ác vì nghĩ thầm trong lòng rằng chủ mình sẽ về trễ; 49 nó bắt đầu đánh đập các đầy tớ khác, ăn chơi với những phường say sưa. 50 Chủ sẽ đến trong ngày nó không ngờ, vào giờ nó không hay biết, 51 và trừng phạt nó nặng nề.[g] Chủ sẽ phó nó chung số phận với những kẻ đạo đức giả ở nơi sẽ có than khóc và rên xiết.”[h]

24 Jesús salió del Templo y mientras caminaba se acercaron sus discípulos y le mostraron los edificios del Templo.
2 Pero él dijo:
—¿Ven todo esto? Les aseguro que no quedará piedra sobre piedra, pues todo será derribado.
3 Más tarde, estaba Jesús sentado en el monte de los Olivos cuando llegaron los discípulos y le preguntaron en privado:
—¿Cuándo sucederá eso y cuál será la señal de tu venida y del fin del mundo?[a]
4 —Tengan cuidado de que nadie los engañe —les advirtió Jesús—. 5 Vendrán muchos que, usando mi nombre, dirán: “Yo soy el Cristo”, y engañarán a muchos. 6 Ustedes oirán de guerras y de rumores de guerras, pero procuren no alarmarse. Es necesario que eso suceda, pero no será todavía el fin. 7 Se levantará nación contra nación y reino contra reino. Habrá hambre y terremotos en diferentes lugares. 8 Todo esto será apenas el comienzo de los dolores.
9 »Entonces los entregarán para que los persigan y los maten, y los odiarán todas las naciones por causa de mi nombre. 10 En aquel tiempo muchos se apartarán de la fe; unos a otros se traicionarán y se odiarán; 11 y surgirá un gran número de falsos profetas que engañarán a muchos. 12 Habrá tanta maldad que el amor de muchos se enfriará, 13 pero el que se mantenga firme hasta el fin será salvo. 14 Y este evangelio del reino se predicará en todo el mundo como testimonio a todas las naciones; entonces vendrá el fin.
15 »Así que, cuando vean en el lugar santo “la abominación que causa destrucción”,[b] de la que habló el profeta Daniel (el que lee, que lo entienda), 16 entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a las montañas. 17 El que esté en la azotea no baje a llevarse nada de su casa. 18 Y el que esté en el campo no regrese para buscar su capa. 19 ¡Ay de las que estén embarazadas o amamantando en aquellos días! 20 Oren para que su huida no suceda en invierno ni en sábado. 21 Porque habrá una gran tribulación, como no la ha habido desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora ni la habrá jamás. 22 Si no se acortaran esos días, nadie sobreviviría, pero por causa de los elegidos se acortarán. 23 Entonces, si alguien les dice: “¡Miren, aquí está el Cristo!” o “¡Allí está!”, no lo crean. 24 Porque surgirán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas que harán grandes señales y milagros para engañar, de ser posible, aun a los elegidos. 25 Fíjense que se lo he dicho a ustedes de antemano.
26 »Por eso, si les dicen: “¡Miren que está en el desierto!”, no salgan; o: “¡Miren que está en la casa!”, no lo crean. 27 Porque así como el relámpago que sale del oriente se ve hasta en el occidente, así será la venida del Hijo del hombre. 28 Donde esté el cadáver, allí se reunirán los buitres.
29 »Inmediatamente después de la tribulación de aquellos días,
»“se oscurecerá el sol
y no brillará más la luna;
las estrellas caerán del cielo
y los cuerpos celestes serán sacudidos”.[c]
30 »La señal del Hijo del hombre aparecerá en el cielo y se angustiarán todos los pueblos de la tierra. Verán al Hijo del hombre venir sobre las nubes del cielo con poder y gran gloria. 31 Y al sonido de la gran trompeta mandará a sus ángeles, y reunirán de los cuatro vientos a los elegidos, de un extremo al otro del cielo.
32 »Aprendan de la higuera esta lección: Tan pronto como se ponen tiernas sus ramas y brotan sus hojas, ustedes saben que el verano está cerca. 33 Igualmente, cuando vean todas estas cosas, sepan que el tiempo está cerca, a las puertas. 34 Les aseguro que no pasará esta generación hasta que todas estas cosas sucedan. 35 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras jamás pasarán.

36 »Pero en cuanto al día y la hora, nadie lo sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles del cielo, ni el Hijo,[d] sino solo el Padre. 37 La venida del Hijo del hombre será como en tiempos de Noé. 38 Porque en los días antes del diluvio comían, bebían, se casaban y daban en casamiento, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca; 39 y no supieron nada de lo que sucedería hasta que llegó el diluvio y se los llevó a todos. Así será en la venida del Hijo del hombre. 40 Estarán dos hombres en el campo: uno será llevado y el otro será dejado. 41 Dos mujeres estarán moliendo: una será llevada y la otra será dejada.
42 »Por lo tanto, manténganse despiertos porque no saben qué día vendrá su Señor. 43 Pero entiendan esto: si un dueño de casa supiera a qué hora de la noche va a llegar el ladrón, se mantendría despierto para no dejarlo forzar la entrada. 44 Por eso también ustedes deben estar preparados, porque el Hijo del hombre vendrá cuando menos lo esperen.
45 »¿Quién es el siervo fiel y prudente a quien su señor ha dejado encargado de los sirvientes para darles la comida a su debido tiempo? 46 Dichoso el siervo cuando su señor, al regresar, lo encuentra cumpliendo con su deber. 47 Les aseguro que lo pondrá a cargo de todos sus bienes. 48 Pero ¿qué tal si ese siervo malo se pone a pensar: “Mi señor se está demorando” 49 y luego comienza a golpear a sus compañeros, a comer y beber con los borrachos? 50 El señor de ese siervo volverá el día en que el siervo menos lo espere y a la hora menos pensada. 51 Lo castigará severamente y le impondrá la condena que reciben los hipócritas.[e] Entonces habrá llanto y crujir de dientes.

Señales antes del fin(B)
3 Mientras Jesús estaba sentado en el monte de los Olivos, los discípulos se le acercaron por separado, y le dijeron: «Dinos, ¿cuándo sucederá todo esto, y cuál será la señal de tu venida y del fin del mundo?» 4 Jesús les respondió: «Cuídense de que nadie los engañe. 5 Porque muchos vendrán en mi nombre, y dirán: “Yo soy el Cristo”, y engañarán a muchos. 6 Ustedes oirán hablar de guerras y de rumores de guerras; pero no se angustien, porque es necesario que todo esto suceda; pero aún no será el fin. 7 Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino, y habrá hambre y terremotos en distintos lugares. 8 Todo esto será sólo el comienzo de los dolores.
9 »Entonces los entregarán a ustedes para ser torturados, y los matarán, y todos los odiarán por causa de mi nombre.(C) 10 En aquel tiempo muchos tropezarán, y unos a otros se traicionarán y odiarán. 11 Muchos falsos profetas se levantarán, y engañarán a muchos; 12 y tanto aumentará la maldad que el amor de muchos se enfriará. 13 Pero el que resista hasta el fin, será salvo.(D) 14 Y este evangelio del reino será predicado en todo el mundo para testimonio a todas las naciones, y entonces vendrá el fin.

29 »Inmediatamente después de la aflicción de aquellos días, el sol se oscurecerá y la luna dejará de brillar, las estrellas caerán del cielo,(K) y los poderes celestiales se estremecerán. 30 Entonces aparecerá en el cielo la señal del Hijo del Hombre, y todas las tribus de la tierra se lamentarán, y verán al Hijo del Hombre venir sobre las nubes del cielo,(L) con gran poder y gloria. 31 Y enviará a sus ángeles con gran voz de trompeta, y de los cuatro vientos, desde un extremo al otro del cielo, ellos juntarán a sus elegidos.
32 »De la higuera deben aprender esta parábola: Cuando sus ramas se ponen tiernas, y le brotan las hojas, ustedes saben que el verano ya está cerca. 33 De la misma manera, cuando ustedes vean todas estas cosas, sepan que la hora ya está cerca, y que está a la puerta. 34 De cierto les digo, que todo esto sucederá antes de que pase esta generación. 35 El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán.
36 »En cuanto al día y la hora, nadie lo sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles de los cielos. Sólo mi Padre lo sabe. 37 La venida del Hijo del Hombre será como en los días de Noé;(M) 38 pues así como en los días antes del diluvio la gente comía y bebía, y se casaba y daba en casamiento, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca, 39 y no entendieron hasta que vino el diluvio y se los llevó a todos,(N) así será también la venida del Hijo del Hombre. 40 Entonces, estarán dos en el campo, y uno de ellos será tomado, y el otro será dejado. 41 Dos mujeres estarán en el molino, y una de ellas será tomada, y la otra será dejada. 42 Por tanto, estén atentos, porque no saben a qué hora va a venir su Señor. 43 Pero sepan esto, que si el dueño de la casa supiera a qué hora va a venir el ladrón, se quedaría despierto y no dejaría que robaran su casa. 44 Por tanto, también ustedes estén preparados, porque el Hijo del Hombre vendrá a la hora que menos lo esperen.(O)
45 »¿Quién es el siervo fiel y prudente, al cual su señor deja encargado de los de su casa para que los alimente a su tiempo? 46 Bien por el siervo que, cuando su señor venga, lo encuentre haciendo así. 47 De cierto les digo que lo pondrá a cargo de todos sus bienes. 48 Pero si aquel siervo malo dice en su corazón: “Mi señor tarda en venir”, 49 y comienza a golpear a sus consiervos, y aun a comer y a beber con los borrachos, 50 el señor de aquel siervo vendrá en el día menos pensado, y a una hora que nadie sabe, 51 y lo castigará duramente, y le hará correr la misma suerte de los hipócritas. Allí habrá llanto y rechinar de dientes.

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times(A)
24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another;(B) every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives,(C) the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming(D) and of the end of the age?”(E)
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.(F) 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.(G) 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.(H) There will be famines(I) and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted(J) and put to death,(K) and you will be hated by all nations because of me.(L) 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets(M) will appear and deceive many people.(N) 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(O) 14 And this gospel of the kingdom(P) will be preached in the whole world(Q) as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place(R) ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a](S) spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop(T) go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!(U) 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.(V)
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect(W) those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.(X) 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders(Y) to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning(Z) that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming(AA) of the Son of Man.(AB) 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.(AC)
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b](AD)
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn(AE) when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven,(AF) with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels(AG) with a loud trumpet call,(AH) and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door.(AI) 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.(AJ) 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.(AK)
The Day and Hour Unknown(AL)(AM)
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father.(AN) 37 As it was in the days of Noah,(AO) so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,(AP) up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.(AQ) 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.(AR) 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.(AS)
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.(AT) 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,(AU) he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready,(AV) because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant,(AW) whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.(AX) 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.(AY) 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.(AZ) 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(BA)
