Mark 7:18-23

18 And He said to them, “Are you also as lacking in understanding? Don’t you realize that nothing going into a man from the outside can defile him? 19 For it doesn’t go into his heart but into the stomach(A) and is eliminated.”[a] (As a result, He made all foods clean.[b](B)) 20 Then He said, “What comes out of a person—that defiles him. 21 For from within, out of people’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immoralities,(C) thefts, murders,(D) 22 adulteries,(E) greed,(F) evil actions, deceit,(G) promiscuity,(H) stinginess,[c] blasphemy,(I) pride,(J) and foolishness.(K) 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a person.”

18 “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods(A) clean.)(B)
20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed,(C) malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
