Betrayal and Arrest in Gethsemane(A)
47 And while He was still speaking, (B)behold, a multitude; and he who was called (C)Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. 48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a (D)kiss?”
49 When those around Him saw what was going to happen, they said to Him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” 50 And (E)one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.
51 But Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.” And He touched his ear and healed him.
52 (F)Then Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, “Have you come out, as against a (G)robber, with swords and clubs? 53 When I was with you daily in the (H)temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your (I)hour, and the power of darkness.”

He drew near to Jesus to kiss him, 48 but Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49 And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike (C)with the sword?” 50 And one of them struck the servant[a] of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and (D)officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? 53 When (E)I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is (F)your hour, and (G)the power of darkness.”
