Peter’s Declaration About Jesus^(A)

¹⁸ As He was alone praying, His disciples were with Him. And He asked them, “Who do the people say that I am?”

¹⁹ They answered, “John the Baptist. But some say Elijah. And others say that one of the old prophets has risen.”

²⁰ He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”
