⁶² But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is ^(A)fit for the kingdom of God.”

¹³ Brethren, I do not count myself to have ^[a]apprehended; but one thing I do, ^(A)forgetting those things which are behind and ^(B)reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

²⁰ For if, after they ^(A)have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are ^(B)again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. ²¹ For ^(C)it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. ²² But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: ^(D)“A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

³¹ “In that day, he ^(A)who is on the housetop, and his ^[a]goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. ^32 (B)Remember Lot’s wife.

^6 (A)But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. ⁷ For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; ⁸ he is ^(B)a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

¹⁰ for ^(A)Demas has forsaken me, ^(B)having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.

³⁷ Now Barnabas ^[a]was determined to take with them ^(A)John called Mark. ³⁸ But Paul insisted that they should not take with them ^(B)the one who had departed from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work.
