57 As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” 58 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” 59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” 60 But Jesus[a] said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” 61 Another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” 62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Ed egli rispose: «{Signore,} permettimi di andare prima a seppellire mio padre». 60 Ma egli[c] gli disse: «Lascia che i morti seppelliscano i loro morti; ma tu va’ ad annunciare il regno di Dio». 61 Un altro ancora gli disse: «Ti seguirò, Signore, ma lasciami prima salutare quelli di casa mia». 62 Ma Gesù {gli disse}: «Nessuno che abbia messo la mano all’aratro e poi volga lo sguardo indietro è adatto per il regno di Dio».

58 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben, und die Vögel des Himmels haben Nester; aber der Sohn des Menschen hat nichts, wo er sein Haupt hinlegen kann.
59 Er sagte aber zu einem anderen: Folge mir nach! Der sprach: Herr, erlaube mir, zuvor hinzugehen und meinen Vater zu begraben!
60 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Lass die Toten ihre Toten begraben; du aber geh hin und verkündige das Reich Gottes!
61 Es sprach aber auch ein anderer: Herr, ich will dir nachfolgen; zuvor aber erlaube mir, von denen, die in meinem Haus sind, Abschied zu nehmen!
62 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Niemand, der seine Hand an den Pflug legt und zurückblickt, ist tauglich für das Reich Gottes!

57 Pendant qu’ils étaient en chemin, un homme vint dire à Jésus : Je te suivrai partout où tu iras.
58 Jésus lui répondit : Les renards ont des tanières et les oiseaux du ciel ont des nids ; mais le Fils de l’homme n’a pas d’endroit où reposer sa tête.
59 Jésus dit à un autre : Suis-moi !
Mais cet homme lui dit : Seigneur[a], permets que j’aille d’abord enterrer mon père.
60 Jésus lui répondit : Laisse à ceux qui sont morts le soin d’enterrer leurs morts. Quant à toi, va proclamer le royaume de Dieu !
61 Un autre encore lui dit : Je te suivrai, Seigneur, mais permets-moi d’abord de faire mes adieux à ma famille.
62 Jésus lui répondit : Celui qui regarde derrière lui au moment où il se met à labourer avec sa charrue n’est pas prêt pour le royaume de Dieu.
