⁴⁸ and said to them, ^(A)“Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and ^(B)whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For ^(C)he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”

¹¹ For ^(A)everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

^6 (A)Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,

^26 (A)But not so with you. Rather, let ^(B)the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.

Rewards

^40 (A)“Whoever receives you receives me, and ^(B)whoever receives me receives him who sent me. ^41 (C)The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward. ⁴² And ^(D)whoever gives one of ^(E)these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

^11 (A)The greatest among you shall be your servant. ^12 (B)Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

^21 (A)The one who conquers, ^(B)I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as ^(C)I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

³ not ^(A)domineering over those in your charge, but ^(B)being examples to the flock. ⁴ And when ^(C)the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the ^(D)unfading ^(E)crown of glory.
