⁴² And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

¹⁵ So he who was dead ^(A)sat up and began to speak. And He ^(B)presented him to his mother.

¹² Therefore ^(A)rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! ^(B)Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, ^(C)because he knows that he has a short time.”

³⁹ And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth; and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him.

²⁶ Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” ²⁷ But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.

²⁰ Then they brought him to Him. And ^(A)when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.

²⁶ And when the unclean spirit ^(A)had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. ²⁷ Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, ^[a]“What is this? What new ^[b]doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

³⁶ And he called Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunammite woman.” So he called her. And when she came in to him, he said, “Pick up your son.”

⁴¹ Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

²³ And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house, and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, “See, your son lives!”
