Luke 9:27-36
New King James Version
27 (A)But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.”
Jesus Transfigured on the Mount(B)
28 (C)Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray. 29 As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening. 30 And behold, two men talked with Him, who were (D)Moses and (E)Elijah, 31 who appeared in glory and spoke of His [a]decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 But Peter and those with him (F)were heavy with sleep; and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who stood with Him. 33 Then it happened, as they were parting from Him, that Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three [b]tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he said.
34 While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the (G)cloud. 35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, (H)“This is [c]My beloved Son. (I)Hear Him!” 36 When the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone. (J)But they kept quiet, and told no one in those days any of the things they had seen.

27 But I say to you truthfully, (A)there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
The Transfiguration
28 (B)About eight days after these sayings, He took along (C)Peter, John, and James, and (D)went up on the mountain (E)to pray. 29 And while He was (F)praying, the appearance of His face (G)became different, and His clothing became white and [a]gleaming. 30 And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah, 31 who, appearing in [b]glory, were speaking of His (H)departure, which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 Now Peter and his companions (I)had been overcome with sleep; but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who were standing with Him. 33 And as [c]these two men were leaving Him, Peter said to Jesus, “(J)Master, it is good that we are here; and (K)let’s make three [d]tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—(L)not realizing what he was saying. 34 But while he was saying this, a cloud [e]formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35 And then (M)a voice came from the cloud, saying, “(N)This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!” 36 And when the voice [f]had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And (O)they kept silent, and reported to no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
