³⁹ “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

⁸ Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied^(A) the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

²⁹ “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did.^(A) Could this be the Messiah?”^(B)

¹⁵ One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God^(A) in a loud voice. ¹⁶ He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.^(B)

¹⁷ Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? ¹⁸ Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”

²¹ He is the one you praise;^(A) he is your God, who performed for you those great^(B) and awesome wonders^(C) you saw with your own eyes.

⁴⁵ Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places.^(A) Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.^(B)
