³⁷ Then all the people of the surrounding country of the Gerasenes ^(A)asked him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and returned.

³⁹ So they came and apologized to them. And they took them out and ^(A)asked them to leave the city.

^16 (A)“The one who hears you hears me, and ^(B)the one who rejects you rejects me, and ^(C)the one who rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

¹⁰ But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, ^11 (A)‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that ^(B)the kingdom of God has come near.’

⁵⁶ And they went on to another village.

⁵ And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town ^(A)shake off the dust from your feet ^(B)as a testimony ^(C)against them.”

²⁸ When he saw Jesus, he ^(A)cried out and fell down before him and said ^(B)with a loud voice, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, ^(C)Son of ^(D)the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me.”

⁸ But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, ^(A)“Depart from me, for ^(B)I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

¹⁷ And ^(A)they began to beg Jesus^[a] to depart from their region.

³⁴ And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, ^(A)they begged him to leave their region.
