Jesus Calms The Sea. Who Is This Man? Even The Winds And Sea Obey Him!

22 And it came about on one of the days that He got into a boat, and His disciples. And He said to them, “Let us go to the other side of the lake[a]”. And they put-to-sea. 23 Now while they were sailing, He fell-asleep. And a storm of wind came down on the lake, and they were being filled-with water and were being-in-danger. 24 And having gone to Him, they woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And the One, having awakened, rebuked the wind and the surge of the water. And they ceased, and there was calm. 25 And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” But having feared, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this One, that[b] He commands even[c] the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”

Jesus Walks Across The Raging Sea

45 And immediately, He compelled[a] His disciples to get into the boat, and to be going ahead to the other side, toward[b] Bethsaida, while He sends-away the crowd. 46 And having said-good-bye to them[c], He went away on the mountain to pray. 47 And having become evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea and He was alone on the land. 48 And having seen them being tormented[d] in the rowing— for the wind was contrary to them— He comes to them around the fourth watch[e] of the night, walking on the sea. And He was intending[f] to pass-by them. 49 But the ones, having seen Him walking on the sea, thought that “It is a phantom[g]”, and cried-out. 50 For they all saw Him and were frightened. But immediately the One spoke with them. And He says to them, “Take-courage, I am[h] the One. Do not be afraid[i]”. 51 And He went up with them in the boat. And the wind stopped. And they were very exceedingly astonished in themselves. 52 For they did not understand[j] on the basis of the loaves-of-bread, but their heart had been hardened.
