¹⁵ But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word ^[a]with a good and virtuous heart, and hold it firmly, and produce fruit with ^[b]perseverance.

³ knowing that ^(A)the testing of your ^(B)faith produces ^[a](C)endurance. ⁴ And let ^[b](D)endurance have its perfect ^[c]result, so that you may be ^[d](E)perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

⁴ As a result, we ourselves ^(A)speak proudly of you among ^(B)the churches of God for your ^[a]perseverance and faith ^[b](C)in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure. ⁵ This is ^[c]a ^(D)plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be ^(E)considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering.

^3 (A)And not only this, but ^[a]we also ^(B)celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about ^(C)perseverance; ⁴ and ^(D)perseverance, ^(E)proven character; and proven character, hope;

^19 (A)By your endurance you will gain your ^[a]lives.
