³⁰ But the Pharisees and the ^[a](A)lawyers rejected God’s purpose for themselves, not having been baptized by ^[b]John.

^25 (A)And a ^[a](B)lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

⁴⁵ One of the ^[a](A)lawyers *said to Him in reply, “Teacher, when You say this, You insult us too.” ⁴⁶ But He said, “Woe to you ^(B)lawyers as well! For ^(C)you weigh men down with burdens hard to bear, ^[b]while you yourselves will not even touch the burdens with one of your fingers.

⁵² Woe to you ^[a](A)lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; ^(B)you yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who were entering.”

³ And Jesus answered and spoke to the ^[a](A)lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “^(B)Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”

¹³ Diligently help Zenas the ^(A)lawyer and ^(B)Apollos on their way so that nothing is lacking for them.
