²⁸ I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

¹¹ Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

^25 (A)of which I became a minister according to ^(B)the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, ^26 (C)the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. ^27 (D)To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are ^(E)the riches of the glory of ^(F)this mystery, which is Christ in you, ^(G)the hope of glory.

⁴⁸ and said to them, ^(A)“Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and ^(B)whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For ^(C)he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”

¹⁶ But ^(A)blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. ^17 (B)For truly, I say to you, ^(C)many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

¹⁰ Concerning this salvation, ^(A)the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, ¹¹ inquiring ^(B)what person or time^{[a] (C)}the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating ^(D)when he predicted ^(E)the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. ^12 (F)It was revealed to them that ^(G)they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you ^(H)by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, ^(I)things into which angels long to look.

³⁹ And all these, ^(A)though commended through their faith, ^(B)did not receive what was promised, ⁴⁰ since God had provided something better for us, ^(C)that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

⁸ To me, ^(A)though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, ^(B)to preach to the Gentiles the ^(C)unsearchable ^(D)riches of Christ, ⁹ and ^(E)to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery ^(F)hidden for ages in^[a] God, ^(G)who created all things,

²³ Then turning to the disciples he said privately, ^(A)“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! ²⁴ For I tell you ^(B)that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”
