¹⁶ They were all filled with awe^(A) and praised God.^(B) “A great prophet^(C) has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.”^(D)

³⁹ When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet,^(A) he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

⁸ When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God,^(A) who had given such authority to man.

⁹ Then this city will bring me renown,^(A) joy, praise^(B) and honor^(C) before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble^(D) at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

²⁶ Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God.^(A) They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”

²⁰ The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God^(A) for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

⁶⁵ All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea^(A) people were talking about all these things.

¹¹ The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet^(A) from Nazareth in Galilee.”

³¹ The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.^(A)
