Luke 6:22-30

^22 (A)Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they ^[a](B)exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man. ²³ Rejoice on that day and ^(C)jump for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers used to ^[b]treat the prophets ^(D)the same way. ²⁴ But woe to ^(E)you who are rich, for ^(F)you are receiving your comfort in full. ²⁵ Woe to you who ^[c]are well-fed now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. ²⁶ Woe to you when all the people speak well of you; for their fathers used to ^[d]treat the ^(G)false prophets the same way.

²⁷ “But I say to you who hear, ^(H)love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, ²⁸ bless those who curse you, ^(I)pray for those who are abusive to you. ^29 (J)Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your ^[e]cloak, do not withhold your ^[f]tunic from him either. ³⁰ Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
