⁵ But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught ^(A)nothing; nevertheless ^(B)at Your word I will let down the net.”

⁵ His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

Build on the Rock^(A)

^46 (B)“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? ^47 (C)Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: ⁴⁸ He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was ^[a]founded on the rock.

⁴ Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! ⁵ Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will ^(A)cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. ⁶ I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. ^(B)Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.

¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and ^(A)wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” ¹¹ But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’ ¹² Are not the ^[a]Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage. ¹³ And his ^(B)servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” ¹⁴ So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his ^(C)flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and ^(D)he was clean.

³ Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”

They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and ^[a]immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

¹¹ Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the ^(A)whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ^(B)‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ ¹² Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, ^(C)O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and ^(D)bring you into the land of Israel.
