²⁶ Amazement seized all of them, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen incredible things today.”^(A)

⁸ When the crowds saw it, they were filled with awe, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to human beings.^(A)

¹⁶ Fear seized all of them, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen among us!” and “God has visited his people!”^(A)

¹¹ And great fear seized the whole church and all who heard of these things.^(A)

The Apostles Heal Many

¹² Now many signs and wonders were done among the people through the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon’s Portico.^{(B) 13} None of the rest dared to join them, but the people held them in high esteem.^(C)

²¹ After threatening them again, they let them go, finding no way to punish them because of the people, for all of them praised God for what had happened.^(A)

³⁷ Then the whole throng of people of the surrounding region of the Gerasenes^[a] asked Jesus^[b] to leave them, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and returned.^(A)

⁸ But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’s knees, saying, “Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

¹² And he stood up and immediately took the mat and went out before all of them, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”^(A)

⁸ So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to tell his disciples.

²³ All the crowds were amazed and were saying, “Can this be the Son of David?”^(A)
