²⁰ When he saw their faith, he said, “Friend,^[a] your sins are forgiven you.”^(A)

⁹ He listened to Paul as he was speaking. And Paul, looking at him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,^(A)

Jesus Heals a Paralytic

² And some people were carrying to him a paralyzed man lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, child; your sins are forgiven.”^(A)

¹³ Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord^[a] has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

²⁵ and needed no one to testify about anyone, for he himself knew what was in everyone.^(A)

⁴⁸ Then he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”^(A)

⁵ When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Child, your sins are forgiven.”

¹⁸ But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from works, and I by my works will show you faith.^(A)

¹⁰ Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. In fact, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ.
