Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place^(A)

³⁵ Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.^{(B) 36} Simon and his companions went to look for him,

²³ After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray.^(A) Later that night, he was there alone,

⁴⁶ After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.^(A)

¹⁵ Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king^(A) by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.^(B)
