¹¹ So when they had brought their boats to land, ^(A)they ^[a]forsook all and followed Him.

^20 (A)They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

^28 (A)Then Peter said, “See, we have left ^[a]all and followed You.”

²⁹ So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, ^(B)there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, ^30 (C)who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

²⁸ So he left all, rose up, and ^(A)followed Him.

²⁷ Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, ^(A)we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”

²¹ Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, ^(A)sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have ^(B)treasure in heaven; and come, ^(C)take up the cross, and follow Me.”

^18 (A)They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

¹⁹ When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets. ²⁰ And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.

Jesus Casts Out an Unclean Spirit^(B)

^21 (C)Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the ^(D)synagogue and taught. ^22 (E)And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

²³ Now there was a man in their synagogue with an ^(F)unclean spirit. And he cried out, ²⁴ saying, “Let us alone! ^(G)What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I ^(H)know who You are—the ^(I)Holy One of God!”

²⁵ But Jesus ^(J)rebuked him, saying, ^[a]“Be quiet, and come out of him!”

^37 (A)He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

⁷ But ^(A)what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. ⁸ Yet indeed I also count all things loss ^(B)for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
