¹⁰ and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. ^(A)From now on you will catch men.”

The Parable of the Dragnet

⁴⁷ “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and ^(A)gathered some of every kind,

¹⁹ Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and ^(A)I will make you fishers of men.”

⁹ And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever ^[a]the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes. ¹⁰ It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish ^(A)of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.

¹⁷ Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become ^(A)fishers of men.”

⁷ So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

²³ If anyone inquires about ^(A)Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you. Or if our brethren are inquired about, they are ^(B)messengers^[a] of the churches, the glory of Christ.

⁴ And ^(A)they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began ^(B)to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
