¹⁰ and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.

Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid;^(A) from now on you will fish for people.”

The Parable of the Net

⁴⁷ “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like^(A) a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds^(B) of fish.

¹⁹ “Come, follow me,”^(A) Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

⁹ Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.^{(A) 10} Fishermen^(B) will stand along the shore; from En Gedi^(C) to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets.^(D) The fish will be of many kinds^(E)—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.^(F)

¹⁷ “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

⁷ So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

²³ As for Titus,^(A) he is my partner^(B) and co-worker^(C) among you; as for our brothers,^(D) they are representatives of the churches and an honor to Christ.

⁴ All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit^(A) and began to speak in other tongues^[a](B) as the Spirit enabled them.
