¹⁰ and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”^[a]

The Parable of the Net

⁴⁷ “Again, the kingdom of heaven is ^(A)like a net that was thrown into the sea and ^(B)gathered fish of every kind.

¹⁹ And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you ^(A)fishers of men.”^[a]

⁹ And wherever the river goes,^[a] every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish. For this water goes there, that the waters of the sea^[b] may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes. ¹⁰ Fishermen will stand beside the sea. From ^(A)Engedi to ^(B)Eneglaim it will be a place for the spreading of nets. Its fish will be of very many kinds, like the fish of ^(C)the Great Sea.^[c]

¹⁷ And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become ^(A)fishers of men.”^[a]

⁷ They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. ^(A)And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

²³ As for Titus, he is ^(A)my partner and fellow worker for your benefit. And as for our brothers, they are messengers^[a] of the churches, the glory of Christ.

⁴ And they were all ^(A)filled with the Holy Spirit and began ^(B)to speak in other tongues ^(C)as the Spirit gave them utterance.
