^9 (A)And he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are ^(B)the Son of God, throw yourself down from here,

^5 (A)Then the devil took him to ^(B)the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple ⁶ and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,

and

³ The devil said to him, “If you are ^(A)the Son of God, command ^(B)this stone to become bread.”

⁴ and ^(A)was declared to be the Son of God ^(B)in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

²⁹ And behold, they ^(A)cried out, “What have you to do with us, ^(B)O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us ^(C)before the time?”

⁶ And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”

⁴ The vestibule in front of the nave of the house was twenty cubits long, equal to the width of the house,^[a] and its height was 120 cubits. He overlaid it on the inside with pure gold.
