Do Not Love the World

^15 (A)Do not love the world or the things in the world. ^(B)If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, ^(C)the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against ^(A)principalities, against powers, against ^(B)the rulers of ^[a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. ^(A)For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

⁸ Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and ^(A)showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

^2 (A)in which you once walked according to the ^[a]course of this world, according to ^(B)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in ^(C)the sons of disobedience,

¹⁷ For ^(A)our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

³¹ and those who use this world as not ^(A)misusing it. For ^(B)the form of this world is passing away.
