The Man with an Unclean Spirit
31 He went down to Capernaum, a city in Galilee, and was teaching them on the sabbath. 32 They were astounded at his teaching, because he spoke with authority. 33 In the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 ‘Let us alone! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.’ 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, ‘Be silent, and come out of him!’ When the demon had thrown him down before them, he came out of him without having done him any harm. 36 They were all amazed and kept saying to one another, ‘What kind of utterance is this? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and out they come!’ 37 And a report about him began to reach every place in the region.

31 Und er kam hinab nach Kapernaum, einer Stadt in Galiläa, und lehrte sie am Sabbat.
32 Und sie waren betroffen über seine Lehre, denn er redete mit Vollmacht.
33 Und in der Synagoge war ein Mensch, der den Geist eines unreinen Dämonen hatte. Und er schrie mit lauter Stimme
34 und sprach: Lass ab! Was haben wir mit dir zu tun, Jesus, du Nazarener? Bist du gekommen, um uns zu verderben? Ich weiß, wer du bist: der Heilige Gottes!
35 Und Jesus befahl ihm und sprach: Verstumme und fahre aus von ihm! Da warf ihn der Dämon mitten unter sie und fuhr aus von ihm und tat ihm keinen Schaden.
36 Und ein Entsetzen kam über alle, und sie redeten untereinander und sprachen: Was ist das für ein Wort, dass er mit Vollmacht und Kraft den unreinen Geistern gebietet und sie ausfahren?
37 Und sein Ruf verbreitete sich in alle Orte der umliegenden Gegend.

31 Il descendit à Capernaüm, ville de la Galilée, et il les enseignait le jour du sabbat. 32 On était frappé par son enseignement, car il parlait avec autorité. 33 Dans la synagogue se trouvait un homme qui avait un esprit démoniaque impur. Il s'écria d'une voix forte: 34 «Ah! Que nous veux-tu, Jésus de Nazareth? Es-tu venu pour nous perdre? Je sais qui tu es: le Saint de Dieu.» 35 Jésus le menaça en disant: «Tais-toi et sors de cet homme.» Le démon jeta l'homme au milieu de l'assemblée et sortit de lui sans lui faire aucun mal. 36 Tous furent saisis de frayeur, et ils se disaient les uns aux autres: «Quelle est cette parole? Il commande avec autorité et puissance aux esprits impurs, et ils sortent!» 37 Et sa réputation gagna toute la région.

33 Or nella sinagoga si trovava un uomo che aveva uno spirito di demonio impuro, il quale gridò a gran voce [, dicendo]: 34 «Ahi[b]! Che c’è fra noi e te, Gesù Nazareno? Sei venuto per mandarci in perdizione? Io so chi sei: il Santo di Dio!» 35 Gesù lo sgridò, dicendo: «Taci, ed esci da quest’uomo!» E il demonio, gettatolo a terra lì nel mezzo, uscì da lui senza fargli alcun male. 36 E tutti furono presi da stupore e discutevano tra di loro, dicendo: «Che parola è questa? Egli comanda con autorità e potenza agli spiriti immondi, ed essi escono». 37 E la sua fama si diffondeva in ogni luogo della regione.
