^39 (A)Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.

⁵⁹ So ^(A)they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

^6 (A)When Jesus^[a] said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. ⁷ So he asked them again, ^(B)“Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
