25 Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth,[a] for she said, “God has appointed for me another child instead of Abel, because Cain killed him.”(A) 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to invoke the name of the Lord.(B)

Adam’s Descendants to Noah and His Sons

This is the list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humans,[b] he made them[c] in the likeness of God.(C) Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and called them humans[d] when they were created.(D)

When Adam had lived one hundred thirty years, he became the father of a son in his likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth.(E)
