¹³ And he said to them, ^(A)“Collect no more than what is appointed for you.”

⁸ Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the ^(A)poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by ^(B)false accusation, ^(C)I restore fourfold.”

12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, ^(A)let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and ^(B)let us run ^(C)with endurance the race that is set before us,

Trained by Saving Grace

¹¹ For ^(A)the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

²⁸ Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather ^(A)let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something ^(B)to give him who has need.

¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

¹² Therefore, ^(A)whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for ^(B)this is the Law and the Prophets.

²⁷ Again, ^(A)when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. ²⁸ Because he ^(B)considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

²¹ “But ^(A)if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. ^22 (B)None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall ^(C)live.
