Jesus Presented at the Temple
21 And when (A)eight days were fulfilled so that they could circumcise Him, (B)His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
22 (C)And when the days for their cleansing according to the Law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the [a]Lord 23 (as it is written in the Law of the [b]Lord, “(D)Every firstborn male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the [c]Lord”), 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what was said in the Law of the [d]Lord, “(E)A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”

21 After eight days passed, when the child was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
22 When the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. 23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every firstborn[a] male will be called holy to the Lord.”)[b] 24 And they came to offer a sacrifice according to what was said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”[c]
