45 Then (A)he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus (B)it is written, (C)that the Christ should suffer and on the third day (D)rise from the dead, 47 and that (E)repentance for[a] the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed (F)in his name (G)to all nations, (H)beginning from Jerusalem. 48 (I)You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending (J)the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you (K)are clothed with (L)power (M)from on high.”
The Ascension
50 And (N)he led them out as far as (O)Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. 51 While he blessed them, (P)he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 And they (Q)worshiped him and (R)returned to Jerusalem (S)with great joy, 53 and (T)were continually in the temple (U)blessing God.
