⁴ While they were perplexed about this, behold, ^(A)two ^(B)men stood by them in dazzling apparel.

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene

¹¹ But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. ¹² And ^(A)she saw ^(B)two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet.

⁵ And ^(A)entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, ^(B)dressed in ^(C)a white robe, and ^(D)they were alarmed.

¹⁰ And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, ^(A)two ^(B)men stood by them in ^(C)white robes,

² And behold, there was a great earthquake, for ^(A)an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. ^3 (B)His appearance was like lightning, and ^(C)his clothing white as snow. ⁴ And for fear of him the guards trembled and ^(D)became like dead men. ⁵ But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here, for he has risen, ^(E)as he said. Come, see the place where he^[a] lay.

² He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. ^(A)When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth
