³⁷ But they were ^(A)startled and ^(B)frightened and ^(C)thought they saw a spirit.

²⁶ But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, ^(A)they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. ²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, ^(B)“Take heart; it is I. ^(C)Do not be afraid.”

¹³ The king said to her, “Do not be afraid. What do you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I see a god coming up out of the earth.”

¹⁵ They said to her, “You are out of your mind.” But she kept insisting that it was so, and they kept saying, “It is ^(A)his angel!”

³⁰ And he said, ‘No, ^(A)father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

⁴⁹ but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, ⁵⁰ for they all saw him and ^(A)were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, ^(B)“Take heart; it is I. ^(C)Do not be afraid.”
