³⁵ Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.^(A)

¹² Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country.^{(A) 13} These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.

The Fellowship of the Believers

⁴² They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching^(A) and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread^(B) and to prayer.^(C)

³⁰ When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it^(A) and began to give it to them. ³¹ Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him,^(B) and he disappeared from their sight.
