Jesus Appears to His Disciples

³⁶ While they were talking about this, Jesus^[a] himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”^[b]

³⁷ They were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost.^(A)

³ After his suffering^[a] he presented himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.^(A)
