³¹ Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished from their sight.

¹⁶ but their eyes were kept from recognizing him.

⁵⁹ So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.^(A)

³⁰ But he passed through the midst of them and went on his way.^(A)

¹³ They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.”^{(A) 14} When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus. ¹⁵ Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir,^[a] if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”^{(B) 16} Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew,^[b] “Rabbouni!” (which means Teacher).
