²⁷ Then beginning ^[a]with ^(A)Moses and ^[b]with all the ^(B)Prophets, He explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures.

¹⁶ Therefore, no one is to ^[a](A)act as your judge in regard to ^(B)food and ^(C)drink, or in respect to a ^(D)festival or a ^(E)new moon, or a ^(F)Sabbath ^[b]day— ¹⁷ things which are only a ^(G)shadow of what is to come; but the ^[c]substance ^[d]belongs to Christ.

²⁴ And likewise, ^(A)all the prophets who have spoken from Samuel and his successors onward, have also announced these days.

⁴ Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest at all, since there are ^[a]those who ^(A)offer the gifts according to the Law; ⁵ who serve ^(B)a copy and ^(C)shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses ^[b]was ^(D)warned by God when he was about to erect the ^[c]tabernacle; for, “^(E)See,” He says, “that you make all things by the pattern which was shown to you on the mountain.”

One Sacrifice of Christ Is Sufficient

10 For the Law, since it has only ^(A)a shadow of ^(B)the good things to come and not the ^[a]form of those things itself, ^[b]can ^(C)never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually every year, ^(D)make those who approach perfect.
