24 ^(A)But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, ^(B)taking the spices they had prepared. ²And they found ^(C)the stone rolled away from the tomb, ³but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴While they were perplexed about this, behold, ^(D)two ^(E)men stood by them in dazzling apparel. ⁵And as they were ^(F)frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? ⁶He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, ^(G)while he was still in Galilee, ⁷^(H)that the Son of Man ^(I)must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and ^(J)be crucified and on ^(K)the third day rise.” ⁸And ^(L)they remembered his words, ⁹and returning from the tomb they ^(M)told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. ¹⁰Now it was ^(N)Mary Magdalene and ^(O)Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles, ¹¹but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and ^(P)they did not believe them. ¹²But ^(Q)Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw ^(R)the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marveling at what had happened.

Proverbs 28:15-28

¹⁵Like ^(A)a roaring lion or ^(B)a charging bear
    is ^(C)a wicked ruler over a poor people.
¹⁶A ruler who ^(D)lacks understanding is a cruel oppressor,
    but he who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.
¹⁷If one is burdened with ^(E)the blood of another,
    he will be a fugitive until death;^[a]
    let no one help him.
¹⁸^(F)Whoever ^(G)walks in integrity will be delivered,
    but he who is crooked in his ways will suddenly fall.
¹⁹^(H)Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread,
    but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty.
²⁰A faithful man will abound with blessings,
    but whoever hastens to be rich ^(I)will not go unpunished.
²¹To show ^(J)partiality is not good,
    but for ^(K)a piece of bread a man will do wrong.
²²A ^(L)stingy man^[b] ^(M)hastens after wealth
    and does not know that ^(N)poverty will come upon him.
²³Whoever ^(O)rebukes a man will afterward find more favor
    than ^(P)he who flatters with his tongue.
²⁴Whoever robs his father or his mother
    and says, “That is no transgression,”
    is ^(Q)a companion to a man who destroys.
²⁵A greedy man ^(R)stirs up strife,
    but the one who trusts in the Lord will ^(S)be enriched.
²⁶Whoever ^(T)trusts in his own mind is a fool,
    but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
²⁷Whoever ^(U)gives to the poor will not want,
    but he who ^(V)hides his eyes will get many a curse.
²⁸When ^(W)the wicked rise, ^(X)people hide themselves,
    but when they perish, the righteous increase.
