54 This was late on Preparation Day. When the sun went down, the Sabbath day would begin.
55 The women who had come from Galilee with Jesus followed Joseph. They saw the tomb and saw inside where the body of Jesus was laid. 56 Then the women left to prepare perfumes and spices.
On the Sabbath day they rested, as the law of Moses commanded.

54 Era il giorno della parascève e gia splendevano le luci del sabato. 55 Le donne che erano venute con Gesù dalla Galilea seguivano Giuseppe; esse osservarono la tomba e come era stato deposto il corpo di Gesù, 56 poi tornarono indietro e prepararono aromi e oli profumati. Il giorno di sabato osservarono il riposo secondo il comandamento.

55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee(B) followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes.(C) But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.(D)
