The Plot to Kill Jesus
22 The(A) Festival of Unleavened Bread,(B) which is called Passover,(C) was approaching. 2 The chief priests and the scribes were looking for a way to put him to death,(D) because they were afraid of the people.(E)
3 Then(F) Satan entered Judas,(G) called Iscariot,(H) who was numbered among the Twelve. 4 He went away and discussed with the chief priests and temple police(I) how he could hand him over(J) to them. 5 They were glad and agreed to give him silver.[a] 6 So he accepted the offer and started looking for a good opportunity to betray him to them when the crowd was not present.

22 Now the feast of Unleavened Bread (which is called Passover) was drawing near. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they could destroy him, because they were afraid of the people.
Judas Arranges to Betray Jesus
3 And Satan entered into Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. 4 And he went away and[a] discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guard how he could betray him to them. 5 And they were delighted, and came to an agreement with him to give him[b] money. 6 And he agreed, and began looking[c] for a favorable opportunity to betray him to them apart from the crowd.
