⁵⁸ And a little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”

Peter Denies Jesus Again

^25 (A)Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, “You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”

⁶⁹ And the servant girl saw him and began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.” ⁷⁰ But again he denied it. And after a little while the bystanders again said to Peter, “Certainly you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.”

⁷¹ And when he went out to the entrance, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus ^(A)of Nazareth.” ⁷² And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.”
