² And ^[a]supper being ended, ^(A)the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him,

Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus^(A)

^10 (B)Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Him to them. ¹¹ And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. So he sought how he might conveniently betray Him.

Jesus Identifies His Betrayer^(A)

¹⁸ “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the ^(B)Scripture may be fulfilled, ^(C)‘He who eats ^[a]bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’

²⁶ Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to ^(A)Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. ^27 (B)Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

^14 (B)Then one of the twelve, called ^(C)Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests ¹⁵ and said, ^(D)“What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. ¹⁶ So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.
