²⁸ “You are those who have stood by me in my trials,^(A)

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested^[a] as we are, yet without sin.^(A)

¹⁸ Because he himself was tested by what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested.^(A)

²⁵ to take the place^[a] in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

True Disciples

³¹ Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples,

⁶⁷ So Jesus asked the twelve, “Do you also wish to go away?” ⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life.

¹³ But the one who endures to the end will be saved.^(A)

²⁸ Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man is seated on the throne of his glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.^{(A) 29} And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or^[a] children or fields for my name’s sake will receive a hundredfold^[b] and will inherit eternal life.
