¹⁸ for I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

²⁹ I tell you, I will never again drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”^(A)

¹⁶ for I tell you, I will not eat it^[a] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”^(A)

²⁵ Truly I tell you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

¹³ He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,^(A)

¹⁸ Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,^{(A) 19} as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to one another, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts,^(B)

³⁰ Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would put one of his descendants on his throne.^{(A) 31} Foreseeing this, David^[a] spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah,^[b] saying,

³² “This Jesus God raised up, and of that all of us are witnesses.^{(C) 33} Being therefore exalted at^[c] the right hand of God and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you see and hear.^{(D) 34} For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

³⁶ “Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah,^[d] this Jesus whom you crucified.”

³¹ So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.^(A)

²⁷ Indeed, truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”^(A)

²³ And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.
