Institution of the Lord's Supper

^14 (A)And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. ¹⁵ And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. ¹⁶ For I tell you I will not eat it^{[a] (B)}until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

^36 (A)Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; ^(B)whoever does not obey the Son shall not ^(C)see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

⁶ For ^(A)while we were still weak, at the right time ^(B)Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— ⁸ but ^(C)God shows his love for us in that ^(D)while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Since, therefore, ^(E)we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from ^(F)the wrath of God.

^21 (A)For our sake he made him to be sin ^(B)who knew no sin, so that in him we might become ^(C)the righteousness of God.

⁹ For they themselves report concerning us the kind of ^(A)reception we had among you, and how ^(B)you turned to God ^(C)from idols to serve the living and ^(D)true God, ¹⁰ and ^(E)to wait for his Son ^(F)from heaven, ^(G)whom he raised from the dead, Jesus ^(H)who delivers us from ^(I)the wrath to come.

⁹ For God has not destined us for ^(A)wrath, but ^(B)to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
